On Saturday 10th April 2021 (at 7 pm UK time), join Joachim Monkelbaan, the representative for Sustainable and Just Economic Systems at Quaker United Nations Office in Geneva, and Friends around the world as we ask: ‘Do we serve the economy or does the economy serve us?’.
Joachim will guide us through his work at the QUNO office, exploring the ways in which economic systems have crucial impacts on Quaker concerns around sustainability, peace and justice.
In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic underscored the need to mobilize responses the the current crisis for transitioning towards a different kind of global economic system - a system that contribute to fairly shared resources, exemplifies policy coherence, and has a positive impact on human and the environment.
