At present, due to the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, it is not possible to hold our normal Meetings for Worship, so most physical Meetings for Worship within South Australia and the Northern Territory have been suspended (To be reviewed July 20, 2020).
We are conducting virtual Meetings for Worship using the ZOOM tool as follows, please join us:
Sunday 10 am South Australia Time Adelaide Eastern Suburbs Meeting:
Sunday 11 am South Australia Time North Adelaide Meeting:
If this is your first time at a ZOOM Meeting for Worship…
To enter the Meeting click on one of the ZOOM links. Please do this 10 or so minutes before the start time so that any computer or technical issues can be resolved before Meeting starts.
A Zoom Meeting for Worship will have people sitting quietly. Everyone remains quiet for the hour of worship unless they feel moved to speak. When anyone speaks they are heard without comment, and usually there is a respectful silence before anyone else speaks. A member indicates when the Meeting ends.
If you feel moved to speak you can un-mute your microphone and speak on your own behalf to the group and when finished re-mute your microphone.
The historic Quaker Meetinghouse in Adelaide South Australia, is in the news.
A delightful interview with Quaker historian Charles Stevenson!
