Yearly Meeting 2025 - A Gathering of Friends - Melbourne

Victoria Regional Meeting (VRM ) is really looking forward to hosting Yearly Meeting in July this year. Yearly Meeting will be hybrid again and we look forward to welcoming Friends in person and on-line. Last year’s wonderful post-covid hybrid Yearly Meeting in Adelaide made us realise how much we gain in our relationships and spiritual lives when we meet together as a community, and VRM are really excited to help facilitate this sense of community this year.

A Stunning Venue in the Heart of Melbourne
University College is part of The University of Melbourne and is centrally located, just north of Melbourne CBD. The campus is easily reached by tram, with links to train stations, and the airport. There is not a great deal of parking on-site. More information in regard to transport and parking options to follow.
University College will be the venue for all our needs including meeting spaces, children and JYF spaces, accommodation and a large Dining Hall where they will provide all meals and morning and afternoon teas, catering for a variety of diets. We have hired the Leggatt Hall, which can seat over 200 people and will be our main conference room; and the seminar centre which will house the help desk, children and smaller group meetings such as some Friendly School workshops and Share and Tell sessions. The college is set in lovely gardens and Royal Park is just across the road.
Everything You Need in One Place
University College offers a variety of accommodation including older style Heritage rooms (with shared bathrooms), newer mini ensuite rooms (shower and toilet) and some larger full ensuite rooms. Most rooms have a double bed and desk. Due to Fire safety, the college has asked that there is only 1 adult per room and young children may stay in a bed with their parent. The cost per night is commensurate with amenities and includes bed and breakfast and linen. Unfortunately, self-catering/ cooking is not permitted on site, however there are small kitchenettes with fridge, kettle and microwaves available.

Engaging Activities for Children & JYFs
A dedicated children’s space will be available, with child-carers organising engaging activities. JYFs (ages 12-17) will have a dynamic experience, splitting their time between Yearly Meeting and another venue, depending on the number of attendees.
If you are planning to bring children or JYFs, please reach out to Jo Temme, the AYM Children and Families Coordinator, for details on the program and how it can work for your family.
