Australian War Memorial Action by MAPW

Medical Association for the Prevention of War members and supporters  are planning early morning actions on Limestone Avenue to protest the sponsorship of the Australian War Memorial by arms manufacturers.  Details below -
 
"The Australian War Memorial seeks and accepts sponsorships from the world’s largest multinational weapons manufacturers. They have no place in a memorial to our war dead.
 
We will gather on the nature strip of Limestone Avenue just past the Ainslie Avenue traffic lights on the same side of the road as the War Memorial .  We will have 2 good sized signs - one says “Stop Weapon Makers Funding War Memorial” and the other “Commemorate Don’t Commercialise."
 
MAPW and friends will gather on Limetone Ave at 7.45 to 8.45 am on  the following dates:

Thursday 2 April

Wednesday 15th April

Thursday  30th April
