QPLC Appoints Jessica Morrison as Peaceworker

The Quaker Peace and Legislation Committee is pleased to announce that Jessica Morrison has been appointed to the Peaceworker role advertised in February.

Jessica is well known to Friends in Melbourne and further afield through both Meetings and her peace and justice work. Jessica has just recently concluded working as the Executive Officer for the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network and was previously with the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear weapons.

Jessica will commence work in May and looks forward to seeking input from Friends into the focus of the peacemaker role, and she will attend Yearly Meeting in Adelaide to contribute to the peace-related issues being discussed there.
