David Nyuol Vincent will speak to Canberra Friends at 11.45am on Sunday 8 September at the Turner Meeting House. He comes from Sudan where he was trained as a child soldier and later lived in a refugee camp in Kenya until he came to Australia.
 
He now works with the Sudanese community in Melbourne. He has become well known to Victorian Friends. The YM Peace & Social Justice Fund helped fund him to participate in a course in Switzerland on leadership and peace mediation.
 
He will be visiting Bega on 6 September to meet Friends there before coming on to Canberra. Enquiries to David Purnell davidpurnell68@gmail.com
