Quaker Service Australia

Quaker Service Australia Inc. (known as QSA) is our aid and development agency. QSA is a tax exempt charity and Public Benevolent Institution. Its role is to channel the concern of Australian Quakers for building a more peaceful, equitable, just and compassionate world.

They work with partners in countries throughout the world including Cambodia, India, Indigenous Australia, Zimbabwe and Uganda. QSA supports work to raise awareness on social justice and human rights issues, environmental protection and education with the main focus on supporting communities achieve year-round food and water security and skills to earn a decent livelihood. more ...

The Quaker Shop

The Quaker Shop is an opportunity shop in Adelaide which is run by Quakers in South Australia. It collects and sells second hand goods and provides skills and interests for its volunteers. The money raised is distributed to a number of charities including Quaker Service Australia and the Australian Refugee Association. Recipients live in Australia, Africa and Asia. more ...

The Silver Wattle Quaker Centre

The Silver Wattle Quaker Centre is a retreat and study centre on land adjoining Lake George (Weereewa) near Goulburn, New South Wales. It is independent of Quakers Australia but has a close practical and spiritual connection. Silver Wattle promotes social and religious education, witness and service and welcomes seekers in all spiritual traditions. The Centre runs weekend and weeklong programmes and workshops to combine the spiritual and the secular, including self-managed reflection, silence and conversation in community and facilitated group retreats. more ...
