Topics and dates for 2024:

Fellowship of Healing

The Friends Fellowship of Healing group meets every third Sunday at the Seventh Day Adventist church, 43 York St. Mont Albert.  Our Meeting for Healing goes from noon till 12.45pm.  All are welcome.  We hold in the light the Earth, people, animals, relationships, plants and all who may benefit from prayerful support.  We speak these names out of silence and stillness and hold them in love.  We also hold ourselves in the light.  We begin by an opening prayer and close with a short prayer or poem.

Shekinah

Shekinah is a Hebrew word meaning "dwelling" or "settling" and denotes the presence of God, as it were, in a place. This concept is found in Judaism.
Thomas Kelly writes of the Shekinah in A Testament of Devotion.
"The Society of Friends arose as a rediscovery of the ever-open inward springs of immediacy and revelation.  George Fox and the Quakers found a Principle within men, a Shekinah of the soul, a Light.”  Peter Bennett is the facilitator and you can contact Jill Parris to register.

Shekinah is usually on the 1st Thursday of the month. Check with Jill Parris.
