About Meeting for Learning 2026

Meeting for Learning (MfL) is a transformative, year-long program for those seeking to deepen their spiritual journey and understanding of Quaker spirituality and practice. It offers a unique opportunity to explore your inward and outward life within the context of a nurturing and supportive Quaker community. Expect to live your year supported by reflection, shared exploration, and deep listening to Spirit, self, others and the Earth.

The Structure of the Program

Meeting for Learning is framed by two residential retreats—a beginning and an ending—while offering ongoing support throughout the year. Between retreats, participants are encouraged to form a local support group from their Meeting or community to accompany them on their spiritual journey.
The 2026 retreat will take place from Tuesday 13 October to 19 October 2026 at Silver Wattle Quaker Centre. It provides a quiet, beautiful space for reflection and renewal.
In 2026, some participants will be completing their MfL journey, while others will just be beginning. The focus for the 2026 year our individual spiritual journey within our faith communities.
