More about Holly and David

We warmly welcome

 

Holly worships with West Hills Friends in Portland (you might like to check out their webpage for its excellent ideas: https://westhillsfriends.org/). She has worked with Quakers  and other organisations in communication and building connections, writing newsletters and  managing various social media accounts. She has experience promoting peace, equality, and social justice especially in Palestine with World Vision International, and taught at the Quaker School in Ramallah. This "strengthened my commitment to peace that 'takes away the occasion of all wars.'"

David is a long-standing member of WARM, and has been active in many Quaker Concerns and Committees, including Co-Convenor of the Backhouse Lecture Committee and as a current member of the YM Organising Committee. He was co-founder and treasurer of the Alternatives to Violence Project (WA). He has most recently been a full-time personal carer/support worker, and is very much looking forward to working on a computer in his home office.
